About
Vridi beach runs along the Atlantic just past the canal that links the Ébrié lagoon to the sea. It is the most accessible seaside outing from central Abidjan and is very busy at weekends. The sand is wide, and beach huts and grilled fish stalls line the shore. Swimming calls for real caution: the breakers and currents are powerful. Most people come to walk, watch the ships go by and enjoy the evening breeze.
